Peak and off season: When to get the best deal

Nadi is a year round destination with warm tropical weather to be enjoyed no matter when you visit. For that reason, there’s never a bad time to visit Fiji. However peak travel times such as Easter, Christmas and New Year’s or school holiday and long weekend periods can cause the price of airfares and accommodation to rise. If traveling during these peak times, it’s best to book as far in advance as possible in order to secure early bird specials or saver fares. Weekend travel also tends to be costlier, so looking at alternative dates during the week can also help you save on the cost of flights. Lastly, compare the prices of each airline flying to Fiji and look at different dates around the time you’d like to go. These strategies will help you locate the lowest possible Fiji fares.

Getting to and leaving the airport

Nadi International Airport (NAN) is located on the western side of Viti Levu Island, just minutes away from the popular tourist and holiday destination of Denarau. Taxi is one common method of getting around the island. Taxis are individually owned and fares are charged at a metered rate. There are also seven car rental agencies available. Offices are located in the Arrivals area. Some resorts and hotels provide free shuttle and boat transfers to/from the airport. This should be arranged with the hotel or resort before arrival.
